huge sigh

Hi all, I know we haven't been around there have been some things going on...

1. A blogging site I used to post at is shutting down. All of the pictures I have of V as and infant and his young year before facebook are about to disappear. I had saved them originally on my laptop, but everytime a laptop crashes, I have lost them. I did try to go through and download them individually, but honestly it was a hard thing to do. I need to now save the ones I did save so I don't lose them again. It is just sad..I posted there for many...many years.

Anyway..more sad/upsetting news.

I got the call today from V's school that he has a fever and they think he has strep. If you recall he has had strep 4 times in less than two months and this would be the fifth time in just over 2 months. Lucky for me I have an in so I was able to get an appointment with the ENT I wanted in 2.5 hours from the time I called for V. He was amazing. He explained things to V, V cried, but honestly he agrees, his tonsils and adenoids need to come out. So next Thursday he is scheduled for surgery.

I know it should be all about him, but honestly..I am super scared too. It isn't like I have another to spare or something.

Please send prayers.

  1. Sending prayers your way!! Matt had his taken out almost three years ago, and it really wasn't that bad. We didn't worry much about him eating, but made sure he drank at least a little something very often. What bothered him the most was his jaw/cheek muscles being sore. I think it was like muscle spasms at night from having his mouth held open for the surgery. But within about 3 or 4 days he was completely back to normal.
