I look back to a year ago, and was very inactive, pretty comfortable (literally) sitting on the couch.
Now it feels so amazing to get out with the running groups on Mondays and Thursdays.
I never ever ever, thought I would ever go camping again.
Now I am toying with, wow it might be kind of fun to go camping with V. So I am plotting to put a sleeping bag on his Christmas list, I mean he will need it for Boy Scouts anyway, right?? Speaking of things he will need for camping with the Boy Scouts, what else does he need? (The more I can put on his Christmas list, is better for me not to have to buy it) And speaking of Boy Scouts, here is his first picture in his uniform, ignore the hat hair.
Afterwards they made smores at the fire pit, this was V's first interaction with fire, and he was so scared. So I ended up roasting the marshmallow for him, and that made me think, oh we will need some of these marshmallow/hot dog roasting sticks too. I loved how the older scouts blew out the burning marshmallows of the younger scouts. I also love the idea of using the cookies, not nearly as messy.
Oh and yes, it was so cold last night, we wore our winter coats.
Have you noticed any recent changes in you?
Any interest in going camping with us? I haven't gone camping since I was a teenager, and much to cool to be camping, so I can't take him alone. I need someone seasoned.
So what else will V need besides a sleeping bag, that I can put on his list?
