Ok..I know Britt and Mo and Kim and Xaarlin and Kelly and Michelle and Sara and The Best Cheerleader (Jenny) and I am sure I am missing people, sorry..
These ladies are amazing. They are strong, dedicated, fast, and one is an ironman, one won the half marathon that I ran recently. They are super amazing. I am very blessed by all of them. HOWEVER...dun..dun..dun...
There are a few more...
They are my nieces.
Currently they are 14 and 16. They are born on the same day two years apart. And yes, they are sisters.
Both of them qualified for the State Cross Country Meet today, and they will be racing on Saturday. My youngest neice broke 17 minutes today (I hear this is good).
My older brother has very strict rules about them being online. All of the "sharing" went to me. Sorry I can't share pictures/videos/stats, etc. Honestly. I wish I could. They are super speedy young ladies. I am hoping V follows in their footsteps.
Speaking of running. I got news today from Hershey (I had emailed them asking for a Twizzlers' donation) that I am rejected. Originally we were hoping for a donation from the Hershey company so we could donate our time and pass out licorice to the marathoners at the Naperville Marathon. Now we don't have a sponsor, so I am not sure what to do. V really wants to "volunteer". He is too young to actually qualify. I get the reasons, no anger here. But I am unsure the amount of licorice that would actually be needed to pass out. It seems a bit expensive. I am not sure if we should bail. This makes me sad since V really wants to volunteer. Any ideas??
