How is your weekend going?? Ours is good. We had too much rain/storms/lightning to head to the pool yesterday, and not to mention it was cool. So I called my friend A and headed to Yogali Mogali with her. Her birthday was almost a month ago, and we haven't seen her. So I bought her froyo and V ended up with a small amount. They have toasted marshmellow...so yummy! Anyway, I texted our friend Lo and told her we were there, she responded immediately that she was on her way! So we had a great short get together. Lo is the reason I started running, and ran my very first half marathon 3 years ago. I am running the same one this year, and will get a "3" medal when I finish. She immediately recognized I am burnt out. You all probably have realized it, but have been too nice not to tell me that. ;)
I love my good friends. She also told me that her and her hubby are no longer signing up for anything less than a marathon, since the price is too high anymore. They are a bit hard core and in their 50s.
So anyway, A and I hit the grocery store on our way back home.
Today, V and I hit up the flea market, then went to the pool. He has been waiting all summer to go down the "purple" slide. The requirements for that slide is a 48" height, as it drops into an 8' pool. I spoke with the lifeguard and she inquired about his ability to swim. I explained he jumps off the high dive into the 12' pool and swims the length to get out, she replied, he will be fine. So he was sooo excited!
I didn't have a melt down, so this was a plus.
Tomorrow the pool closes for the year, so if it is warm enough we want to go back..
Lastly, I saw this and I want kellytheculinarian to test it out and let me know if it is really that easy.
Tell me about your weekend, any fun plans?
After seeing the picture of the slide, would you be nervous about a 6 yr old going down the slide?
Do you tag any other bloggers?
Did summer go extremely fast for you too?
