What a whirlwind! Next weekend will be worse, but we really had a great weekend.
First V had a soccer game on Saturday. I was on snack duty. I sliced up watermelon with the rhine on, in quarters and put them into individual bags. I also quartered up oranges and put them into individual bags too. It turned out well. I think a few of the kids were disappointed by the healthiness, but I don't care. A few of the parents were appreciative that the snack was healthy.
V was the goalie for one quarter and I was a nervous wreck. He isn't ready by any means to be the goalie. I know this is for fun...but I was nervous. He did ok, there were a few near misses, but he didn't let a goal into the net.
Afterwards we headed out for apple picking. We love this place about an hour west of us.
Can't wipe the smile off of his face.
He is ready to go to my Dad's farm for the summers and put in some field work.
After all of that fun we went through the shop, found warm donuts, caramel apples, fresh fudge, cider, and other yummy things.
We came home and were bums.
Today was church/Sunday School, grocery shopping, laundry and cleaning.
How was your weekend?
Have you ever gone apple picking? I hadn't until a few years ago.
