some fun and some not so fun

Thursday night the PTA night out to a place like a Chucky Cheese. V had never been there, because I try to avoid those places like the plague. V had so much fun.

V rode bumper cars for the first time, he LOVED it.

V won one of the door prizes, the only one to get to spin the wheel and he won 1000 tickets.

Friday he didn't have any school, so I had paid a crazy amount of money for him to go to camp at the local Park District.

Well, at work we had a drill for a code trauma, so I wasn't at my desk, and all of a sudden my co worker comes over to tell me that the Park District called V's grandparents and they were on the way to get him because he had a fever. They didn't even call me. WTF?! So not happy about that. Grandma met me at Urgent Care with V, with a 103.8 fever. The diagnosis is Strep. I woke up with morning with a sore throat..hopefully it is just a sore throat and I am not going to get strep too. I haven't had strep in as long as I remember.

He is currently feeling better, with two doses of antibiotics in him. It is a PJ day, no swim lessons today.

Do you have great memories of places like Chucky Cheese?

When was the last time you were sick? How about Strep?

  2. Those big bumper cars are so much fun! Bummer about the strep. Luckily kids seem to respond to treatment and get better quickly. The last time I had it it took me a week for my sore throat to go away. My daughter was a baby so many 2 years ago? Then a few months after that I had influenza. I've been sick since but I think that was the last time I went to the doctor.
