So as you might have heard today we got snow..a lot of snow..probably close to 6 inches or so.
V's Grandma emailed me about noon to see if she could pick V up from the after school program, so that I wasn't worried about the commute from my work to his school and trying to make it within the hour. I know, I know I am super lucky!
Anyway, I got to Grandma's and they had made supper and invited us to stay (UH YES!) and so we stayed and had a lovely supper of salad and spaghetti and meat sauce. Now, Grandpa cooked and he is an amazing cook. I could have eaten all of it myself ;).
As we were leaving, we were walking to the car, I was noticing that they still had not plowed Grandma's street. All of a sudden, V slowly walks back into the garage like he is looking for something. I asked him where he was going, and he stopped, looked at me and said, "I saw a skunk and I didn't want to get sprayed"
UM...WHAT?! I quickly looked around and saw the said skunk trying to make his way across the street. The snow was so deep he was having a hard time. I looked at V and said, why didn't you just tell me you saw a skunk, you should have let me know in case I was too close. He looked at me and said, "Momma you aren't supposed to be loud by skunks, that is what will make them spray you". The kid is too smart!
As we pulled out of the drive, I saw the skunk running up the street in one of the ruts made by a car. I pulled all the way over to the left to be sure we didn't scare the skunk and get my car sprayed. :)
HAHAHA, this is too cute! Go V!!!
