Gearing up

So, my work's 150,000 mile-a-thon starts Friday. We have been given pedometers.

I am signed up for 2 races. One in March and one in September.

V is signed up for the kids marathon again this year.

Today we found a local running store that has a 10 week free 30 minute walk to run program once a week. It is open to all ages/levels, including V!! Well as we all know V will be faster than me, but is is a great thing to be out doing. He is currently logging 30 minute exercise segments towards a water park pass.

Any local peeps want to join in? It is 6pm on Mondays. I can get you to info if you want to join us, it is a bit south west of us.

Also, I am dying to try yoga. Any suggestions?

Lastly Ali is having her Second Annual Running with Spatulas Race! click here and join us It is so much fun!

Have you joined a running store to get your runs in?

Do you think the Department of Children and Infants (I think that is what it is called) will come and harass me for letting V run? I mean he wants to do the dreadmill and I honestly think that is dangerous for an almost 6 year old.

Do you yoga? If so, did you have injuries prior and now doing great? (please say yes!)

  1. I practice yoga, and I teach it as well. :) If you have injuries, my suggestion would be to try a Hatha or gentle yoga class to start. The intructor can help you modify for any injuries or pain you have. Enjoy it! It will help with so much more than your body - mind and spirit as well! <3

  2. Good for you! It's always easier to run when you have company. I currently dont' do any running store fun runs, but i will be investigating to see if there are any stores near my new job that might have a running group :)
